All our Open Days are now fully booked.

We now recommend making an online application. We audition everyone who applies. Click on APPLY NOW for more details.

On the audition day candidates will spend all day at the Urdang and get the chance to speak to staff and current students. Parents/guardians will also be given an introductory talk by staff at the beginning of the day.

Urdang Academy is currently closed for the time being due to COVID-19.

While we await official government advice on the timescale for our continued closure, Urdang is now advising that all students who have applied for a place for 2020 entry, but have yet to be auditioned, make a video audition.

If you have applied for an audition in March. April or May you will receive an email from us in due course with details of what to prepare on video.

We understand this is not an ideal solution, but at least it gives us a chance to assess you sooner, rather than later in case we are unable to host you for your audition. You will not be assessed on the quality of the video production, but on your potential as a performer.

If you are unable to make a video then do let us know. We may be able to make alternative arrangements later in the year or we can offer you a free audition for 2021 entry. Online applications will go live in September.

Applications for 2020 Entry

Urdang Academy is currently closed for the time being due to COVID-19.


While we await official government advice on the timescale for our continued closure, Urdang is now advising that all students who have applied for a place for 2020 entry, but have yet to be auditioned, make a video audition. 


If you apply now for 2020 entry you will receive a message instructing you to make a video audition by 31st May 2020.


Degree applicants only – The Urdang Academy and University of Birmingham collaborative BA Professional Dance and Musical Theatre programme is now live on UCAS and open for applications.

All classes will continue to be held at the Urdang Academy in London, but graduates will receive a University of Birmingham BA Degree from July 2023 onwards.
The UCAS codes you will require are as follows:

If you have already submitted a UCAS application with fewer than 5 choices you can log back in and add these codes to your form until 31st March 2020. Please ignore the 15th January deadline stated on the UCAS pages.

If you have already submitted a UCAS application with all 5 choices filled in then you do not need to do anything until you receive an offer.   If you do and wish to accept, you can contact UCAS and sign up with UCAS EXTRA. This service allows you to add a 6th choice, but only by declining any other offers.

If you have not yet submitted a UCAS application you can do so now until 31st March 2020 using these codes.
