Pippa Ailion has cast over 185 productions internationally
She was Resident Associate Director and Casting Director for Jonathan Miller at The Old Vic between 1987-1991.
In 2018 she was awarded an MBE in the Honours Awards for Services to the Theatre and Diversity.
She has worked in the theatre since 1972 firstly as an actress in Theatre in Education having trained as a drama teacher, a company manager, a resident director and as a casting director since 1987. She was head of the BA Acting Department at Central School of Speech and Drama from 1994 – 1997 and still lectures at many drama schools. She is a Companion at LIPA.
