After graduating from Rambert Ballet School, Stephanie performed as a classical dancer as well as pursuing a successful career in the West End and Television.
Having retired as a performer Stephanie’s love for teaching lead her to study and graduate from the Professional Dancers’ Course at the Royal Academy of Dance, where she gained the qualification of ARAD (dip PDTC). She went on to take up the position of Resident Ballet Teacher at the renowned vocational school, Bush Davies. Stephanie then took up the post of Senior Ballet Teacher at The Hong Kong Ballet Company’s feeder school, The Hong Kong Ballet School. On her return to England she joined the Urdang Academy as Head of Students and after Leonie Urdang’s sad death she was appointed as College Principal.
Whilst working as College Principal Stephanie was invited to give lectures on Vocational Teaching Practice to both the Royal Academy of Dance and the British Ballet Organisation. She was also asked to adjudicate many nationwide dance and musical theatre competitions which included being an adjudicator for the famous, All England Dance Competition Finals held in London.
After retiring as College Principal Stephanie now relishes her role with the Academy as an ambassador and consultant to dance and musical theatre colleges, alongside continuing adjudicating both in the UK and internationally.
